How it is made
We buy 80s and 100s count cotton and we state the count on every design. A lungi sold as 100s is 100s. That single habit is most of the reason shops keep reordering.
Woven on handloom by weavers we have worked with for years. It gives the cloth the soft fall and the breathability that a powerloom piece never quite reaches.
Colour-fast dyeing, checked shade lot by shade lot, and a proper hem. The mark on the corner is our guarantee — it has been for three generations.
The mark
One mark, printed in four languages, because our cloth has always travelled further than our street. Shopkeepers from Chennai to Kolkata have asked for it by whichever name they grew up with — and every one of them means the same cloth.
The egg in the red square has been the guarantee on every piece we sell since 19XX. If it is on the corner of the cloth, we wove it.
